However, a record can impede such efforts, thwarting the ability to get a job, pursue an education, and find a place to live, even decades later. PBN’s project helps individuals seeking to move on from their pasts clear their records, as permitted by state law. Volunteer attorneys assist by collecting information and documents, completing forms, and filing petitions.
